Beard Grooming – Sideburns
The Sideburns look
There are countless facial hair styles, but that doesn’t mean that trimming the sideburns look will be complicated. Here’s a simple set of steps to get you on your way to the popular sideburns style:
Select a Fixed-Length Comb for TrimmingThe right comb length on your trimmer can help you style your look. The All Purpose Gillette STYLER comes with three comb attachments (2mm, 4mm, 6mm) for you to choose from.
Trim your facial hairEven out your beard hair length with the trimmer.
Define Your Beard ShapeRemove your trimmer’s comb attachment and trim your beard to define the sideburns shape. Trimming hairs before shaving can help reduce tug and pull while shaving, and it can help prevent clogged blades.
Check for symmetry as you goBut be careful not to trim too much off in an effort to look even.
Prep Your FaceRinse your face with warm water to help hydrate your hair in preparation for shaving. Then, lather up the parts of your face that you want to shave completely bare—the non-sideburns parts—with a shave gel. Using a shave gel can help prevent nicks, cuts, and irritation.
Shave with Light, Gentle StrokesAttach the razor blades attachment onto your Gillette STYLER handle and shave with light, gentle strokes, to give yourself a close shave. Any Fusion blade refill fits with STYLER.
Rinse Your Blades OftenRinsing the blades often throughout your shave helps to prevent buildup of hairs and shaving cream on the blade edges and cartridge; this helps keep your razor performing at its best.
Edge with the Precision TrimmerOn the back of all Fusion razors is a precision blade; use this to help define facial hair styles and achieve clean edges.
Rinse, Towel, and MoisturiseRinse off your face with cool water. Towel off, and then apply a hydrating aftershave lotion or balm to help soothe your skin.
You have just mastered the Sideburns! With Gillette razors and trimmers, your personal grooming possibilities are endless.
